EXPANDING THE VISION – A STRONG START TO 2026
A message from Rob Boyer, CEO
2026 is off to an exciting start at Narthex, marked by strong performance and growing momentum.
We’re pleased to announce the successful sale of our Grace Paseo property, delivering an outstanding 16.63% IRR and a 1.70x return on invested capital. This continues our track record of unlocking value while advancing ministry outcomes.
There was also additional good news from Mission Southside. While no longer part of the Narthex One portfolio, the property generated a property tax refund of more than $12,000 for tax years 2024 and 2025 — a welcome boost.
Our Blue Ridge Trinity property remains on the market, with three promising buyers currently engaged.
The Narthex Impact Fund faced a few operational challenges this quarter, including an HVAC failure at Nebraska Ave. and a stolen unit at Rhema Church. Even so, the broader portfolio continues to perform as expected.
The most exciting development this quarter has been our expansion beyond Kansas City. Since January 1, we’ve had over 120 conversations with pastors and churches looking to grow, leading to more than 20 active deals in our pipeline — in places like Dallas, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and even New Jersey. The demand is clear — and growing.
As always, thank you for being part of this journey with us.
Onward,
Rob.
SPIRITUAL IMPACT
For the past year, The Word Church has faithfully served from our Nebraska Avenue property in Kansas City, Kansas. With just fifty dedicated members, they saw a simple but urgent need: what do children eat on the weekends when school meals aren’t available?
In response, they created a weekend food ministry— preparing and serving five hot meals from Friday evening through Sunday. Week after week, they fire up the ovens and feed between 300 and 400 people, ensuring no child or family goes without.
Their impact has grown through partnership. Price Chopper and Tyson Foods have joined the effort, helping provide not only hot meals but also bags of groceries to sustain families through the week.
This is the kind of work that inspires us—meeting real needs, strengthening communities, and reminding us exactly why we do what we do.
