In the summer of 2017, a small congregation reached out to Narthex with a dream — to finally have a place to call home.

For 16 years, they had worshiped in rented spaces across the city, faithfully gathering wherever doors were open. When their latest lease was unexpectedly terminated, they feared their ministry might not survive.

“Here’s our dream,” said Sister B., holding up her phone to show a listing for a beautiful, historic church.

Six months later, Narthex acquired that very property on their behalf. Today, the carefully restored 80-year-old building serves not just as their home, but as a shared space for two churches, a Christian social club, and a thriving daycare — a living example of what happens when faith finds a foundation.
