Cornerstone

From underused to overflowing with life and activity.

Sometimes, a church simply knows it’s time to move on. That was the case with Cornerstone Church in Independence, Missouri. While financially healthy, the congregation recognized that their large property was underused — and that, in the hands of Narthex, it could better serve the community.

With a full commercial kitchen, gymnasium, and nearly 20,000 square feet of classrooms and worship space, Cornerstone has become a vibrant hub of activity. Today, it’s home to a Christian youth basketball league, community groups who share the kitchen, and two congregations who now call Cornerstone home.
